World Swim Against Malaria

Today I went to support my friend Bre at the World Swim Against Malaria event in Los Angeles at the Boys and Girls Club.

This is the Speedo team that participated from our office.

Not a bad way to spend a Friday :)

We Spent the first half of Father's Day at my parents house in Hacienda Heights.  Here is a photo of my brother Brian, my mom, dad, sister Jennie, and me.

We spent the last half of Father's Day at Franco's sister Lupe's house.  It was also the day she graduated from the University of San Bernardino.

Central Coast Family Vacation

This is my wonderful husband Franco.  We went on vacation with my parents, Jennie, Matt and the kids June 11th to the 14th.

CARMEL

We stayed at the Carmel Mission Inn in Carmel for two nights.

WATSONVILLE

=

We visited my Uncle Sonny and Aunt Ann in Watsonville.

They live in a beautiful Arts and Crafts syle home built in 1904 that has been in the family since 1908.

My dad, Jennie, and Matt relaxing in the shade.

My mom at the front entrance of the house.

Jennie and Leah in one of the many gardens.

Maya showing off her first missing tooth...and second.

The men stopping for a quick picture during our tour of the grounds.

To help celebrate my uncle's "re-birth" day, we were entertained by a Mexican Trio band!

This is an Art Deco sculpture done by my Aunt Ann's Aunt.  I fell in love with this piece.  The photograph doesn't do the rich teal color of the squirrel justice.

Another Deco Sculpture by the same artist.  The pelican sits atop a small fountain outside the relocated front door.

WINCHESTER MYSTERY HOUSE

We drove up to San Jose to tour the amazing Winchester Mystery House.  Sara Winchester was the heiress to the Winchester rifle fortune.  It is believed that she was told by psychics to provide a home for the spirits of those killed by the Winchester rifles.  For 38 years,  around the clock construction on the house did not cease until the day she died.

MISSION SAN LUIS OBISPO

We drove down to Pismo Beach and stayed at The Cliffs Resorts.  We spent an afternoon shopping in San Luis Obispo and stumbled on the Mission!

First Day

It's 2010 and I think its time I give this blogging thing a shot. My intention is to post pictures and document events in my life. I suppose I can review it and "flip" back through it like a diary as time passes. And just maybe someone else might find my life interesting too...
